Itinerary

8 days | 7 nights

DAY 1

> YOU MADE IT. Welcome to Casablanca, the iconic coastal town and Morocco’s largest city.
> WHILE AWAY the afternoon getting to know the city on your own.
> STAND IN AWE at the beautiful Hasan II Mosque, situated on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
> CAFFEINATE at the historic Le Petit Poucet, where famous writers and artists would dine.
> DINNER at one of the city’s many seafood restaurants, serving fish caught just a stone’s throw away from Casablanca’s port.

DAY 2

> JOURNEY by train to Rabat.

> WANDER through the city’s Old Quarter.

> MARVEL at the architectural wonder that is Kasbah des Oudaias.

> PILGRIMAGE to the sacred village of Moulay Idris, exploring its white washed alleyways and charming sites.

> WATCH the sunset over the vast Volubilis Plains.

DAY 3

> TRANSPORT yourself back in time as you explore the Volubilis, one of the Roman Empire’s most remote outposts.

> SAMPLE a camel burger cooked at a local restaurant.

> EXPLORE Meknes on your own, losing yourself in its Spanish-Moorish architecture and winding alleyways.

> JOURNEY by train to Fes, Morocco’s most ancient imperial city and our home for the next two days.

DAY 4

> STIMULATE the senses in a local guided tour of Fes el Bali, a labyrinthine Medina of craftsmen, mosques, and tanneries.

> SNAP a photo at Funduk Nejjarine, an ornate 18th century inn and one of the medina’s most well-known sites.

> BE AWED at the thousand-year-old Chouara Tannery, an expansive world of colourful dye pits. 

> HAGGLE with the locals, shopping for premium leather goods and ceramics, all made right in the Medina.

> HANG with your fellow travellers in a group dinner, feasting on Moroccan specialties. 

DAY 5

> VOYAGE to Chefchaouen, the ancient city that’s entirely blue, nicknamed Morocco’s ‘blue pearl’.

> IMMERSE yourself in the Chefchaouen blue, wandering its aquamarine alleys and revelling in its quiet charm.

> CLIMB to the roof of the Kasbah (old fortification), for a panoramic, sunset view of the medina.

> DINNER at one of the town’s local restaurants, sampling the goat’s cheese that Chefchaouen is famous for.

DAY 6

> HIKE the beautiful Rif Mountains, led by a local guide.

> PICNIC lunch up in the hills with panoramic views of the blue city.

> UNWIND at a local hammam, a traditional Moroccan spa.

> FEAST on Tagine, a north african stew, at Lala Mesouda.

DAY 7

> JOURNEY to Tangier through the winding Rif Mountains, enjoying dramatic scenic views.

> VISIT the American Legation Museum, housed in a resplendent five-story mansion.

> FANTASISE at the Cave of Hercules, an ancient world of myth and legend.

> REGALE yourself in the ornate, former palace of Dar el-Makhzen.

> SNOOZE on the sleeper train from Tangier to Marrakech.

DAY 8

> INDULGE in a luxury spa & hammam session.

> SPARK your imagination in the royal-blue former home of painter Jacques Majorelle and its tropical gardens.

> JOURNEY back in time at the ornate Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former islamic school.

> FEAST on Moroccan street food, like Harira (chickpea soup), Chebakia (sesame cookie) or sheep’s head (if you dare).

> FAREWELL to Morocco and the friends you made along the way, we miss you already.
