DAY 1
> HELLO Puerto Morelos, your seaside stay, and pristine, turquoise waters
> SHOP for handmade jewellery, colourful hammocks, and artisan goods at the fishing village’s famous craft markets
> RECHARGE after a long flight on a seafood feast of mussels, lobster, prawns, and more
> DIP your toes into cool, shimmering water for an afternoon swim

DAY 2
LEARN about traditional Mayan life from a family who has lived at the secluded Laguna Chabela for generations
> FEAST on a traditional Mexican feast after touring the family farm and watching how they prepare their Coba style tortillas
> WANDER the streets of Valladolid, the Yucantan city of pastel houses and bustling markets
> SETTLE into your home for tonight, set in a converted 16th century mansion

DAY 3
> JOURNEY back in time at Chichen Itza, a sprawling vestige of ancient Maya-Toltec civilisation
> DINE with a local family on a traditional Pibil Feast, an ancient Mayan method of barbecuing meats underground
> DIVE into deep blue waters at a local cenote
> EXPLORE Merida, the Yucantan capital and charming relic of the old world
> DREAM inside the storied walls of La Mision de Fray Diego, a magnificent 17th century mansion and our home for the next two nights

DAY 4
> SEEK OUT the past in a guided walking tour of Merida
> ADMIRE the beautiful murals of painter Fernando Castro Pacheo that depict the city’s true history
> UNWIND in the city’s leafy town square, Plaza Grande, watching the locals go by
> TANTALISE the tastebuds in Yucatan feast of Sopa de Lima (lime soup), Papadzules (an ancient dish similar to enchiladas), and Dulce de Papaya (caramelised papaya)

DAY 5
> MARVEL at pink flamingos, tropical mockingbirds, and Yucatan woodpeckers in a visit to the Celestun Sanctuary and Bio Reserve
> LEARN from a local conservationist about the region’s unique biodiversity and how they’re working to conserve it
> STROLL down Paseo de Montejo, a boulevard of mansions and trees that’s the city’s answer to the champs-elysees
> GROOVE to live music and dancing after dark at Santa Ana square

DAY 6
> ROADTRIP from Merida to Muyil, watching the varied Mexican landscape go by, and stop off at a local village for lunch
> EXPLORE the ruins of the Muyil archaeological site, one of the oldest relics of civilisation in the country
> CRUISE through the canals and bends of the Maya River on a small boat tour
> SWIM in the cool waters of the river, with ancient Mayan ruins as your backdrop
> SLEEP just steps away from the beach in your boutique hotel at Tulum

DAY 7
> DIVE into the refreshing, untouched waters of Tulum in a morning swim
> Private TOUR of the Tulum archaeological site after hours
> FAREWELL to Mexico and your new friends in a special final dinner in the jungle
